STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. – Sterling Insurance Group took home the 2018 Community Partner of the Year Award at the Sterling Edge Business Awards, hosted by the city of Sterling Heights and the Sterling Heights Regional Chamber of Commerce (SHRCC).
The award is given to companies who have established themselves in a meaningful way in the Sterling Heights community and actively employs individuals living in the Sterling Heights area. With its growing headquarters nestled on Lakeside Circle and rapidly expanding staff of more than 75 employees, Sterling Insurance Group fit the bill.
“We are thrilled to receive this recognition. Sterling Heights is our home,” said Joe Haney, President and Principal at Sterling Insurance Group.
Commercial Lines Producer and Certified Risk Architect Scott McInerney accepted the award on behalf of the company, as Haney was not able to attend.
“It’s an honor to accept this award and be among the exceptional winners in other categories,” said McInerney.
Other award categories included: Legacy Partner of the Year, Dream Big Company of the Year and Advanced Manufacturer of the year.
Henry Ford Health Systems, First State Bank and Northwood University were just a few of the sponsors of the event.
The event was hosted at Villa Penna Banquet in Sterling Heights.
